A big thank you and well done to the Hayes family, all the residents of Charlemont, St. Vincent's GAA Club and all their supporters near and far for organising and supporting a hugely successful sponsored walk in aid of Grove Local Centre located in Finglas, Dublin 11. This was a huge community effort and a very enjoyable day was had by all.
The Hayes Family and their team of helpers organised a sponsored walk to raise funds for a wheelchair accessible bus for Grove Local Centre in which her son Ciarán attends. This amazing fundraising event has raised over €20,000 so far and they are well on their way to meet their target. A wheelchair accessible bus would support the service users to enjoy more activities, attend more courses and enjoy many more opportunities within their community.
The Hayes Family would like to thank everyone who has donated, supported, walked and helped in many different ways with the preparations and on the day itself.
As Mary Hayes very eloquently put it
"Ní neart go cur le chéile. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir!"
