Towards a Rights - Based Model of Service Delivery
On Wednesday 27th July 2022, St. Michael's House launched our new organisational Strategic Plan. Service users Nicole, Enda and Richie who were active participants in the development of this new roadmap, were keen to lead this event and proudly present this new publication to all. The group shared their stories of giving their time and experience to the consultation process making the development of this new strategic plan a great success. CEO Liz Reynolds and Board Chair Professor Anthony Staines thanked all service users, staff, families and the Director of Strategic Development, Dr. Karen Finnerty for their hard work and commitment to ensuring all voices were heard during this process.
In 2021, we set about developing a new Strategic Plan, which was informed by key learning from the previous Strategy and extensive consultation with all stakeholders. St. Michael's House Activity Hub, proved to be a valuable platform to discuss with service users and families their vision for how services should operate. At the centre of this new Strategy, are the rights of those who use our service. St. Michael's House continues to face challenges but the plan for the next five years is clear.
