St Michael's House Fundraising Foundation - We Are Recruiting

Issued 2 July 2024

SMH Foundation

Founded in 1955, St. Michael’s House provides a comprehensive range of services and supports to men, women, and children with disabilities and their families. It supports 2,300 people and this has an impact on thousands of family members.

They empower people to make choices about where they work, live, and socialise; and support individuals to develop meaningful relationships, make a valued contribution, and become active members of their community.

To support this work and to fund new services into the future, St. Michael’s House Foundation has been established as an independently registered charity that aims to raise funds and build awareness for projects and services (provided by SMH). The Foundation ultimately aims to advance the strategic goals and objectives of SMH.

Led by Jonathan Power, St Michael’s House Foundation CEO, the Foundation will develop and implement a diverse fundraising strategy for St. Michael’s House Foundation to ensure the growth in the level of income raised from corporate, families, friends and stakeholder support.

Speaking about the foundation, the new CEO, Jonathan Power said

“The establishment of St. Michael’s House Foundation marks a significant milestone in St. Michael’s House mission to support individuals with disabilities. By creating a dedicated foundation, we can focus on raising essential funds and increasing awareness, ensuring that we continue to provide high-quality services and supports for those who rely on us. Our goal is to build a strong, sustainable future for St. Michael’s House, and with the support of our incredible community, we can make a lasting impact”
