St Michael's House were delighted to host the HSE yesterday (31 July 2024) to support the launch of the HSE National Consent Policy in Easy Read format.
Adults who attend SMH Ardare Hub and Artane Hub have spent a number of months discussing and learning about consent using the HSE National Consent Policy.
Supported by staff, Brad, Cora, Ciara, Fintan, Holly and Daniel have discussed;
"What does consent mean?" and the different ways consent can be explained
"Who can give consent?"
"How I can give consent?" and the different ways consent can be given
Yesterday, the HSE team attended a demonstration by the committee where they demonstrated how they can give consent in many different ways by using varieties of communication styles and aids. The videos and photos from the day will support the national launch of the policy in Easy Read format.
