On Tuesday, 20th August 2024, St Michael's House Leisure Centre welcomed 48 adults who attend our services to participate in the SMH Aquathon 2024.
For the past two months, all Aquathon participants, supported by our Leisure Centre team, have been following a bespoke training plan, tracking their activity and progress in preparation for this event.
What is the SMH Aquathon? The Aquathon challenges the participants to swim lengths of St Michael's House fully accessible swimming pool followed by running/walking around the outdoor running track. The event was supported by our friends at Swim Ireland and Dublin City Council Sports & Leisure Team and our corporate champions KPMG Ireland.
Well done to all the participants who not only completed their set challenges but exceeded their personal bests. The Leisure Centre Team and Swim Ireland team then presented each of our champions with a medal of acheivement. They then celebrated (and rested!) with a delicious BBQ outside in the sunshine.
