Halloween came alive across all St. Michael's House centres this year as staff, residents, and families joined in to celebrate the spooky season with fun-filled activities, festive treats, and joyful camaraderie. From pumpkin carving to Halloween quizzes, the atmosphere was brimming with excitement and creativity, making this a Halloween to remember for everyone involved.
Throughout the week, each of our centres put their own spin on Halloween traditions. In the spirit of the season, many participants dove into pumpkin carving sessions, producing everything from friendly jack-o'-lanterns to eerie masterpieces.
The Halloween baking sessions proved to be another highlight, filling the centres with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked treats. Participants donned aprons and got hands-on, decorating cookies and cupcakes with ghostly designs and autumn-inspired colours. Many treats didn’t even last long enough to cool down before they were enjoyed! Staff noted that the baking was not just about sweet treats but also about fostering community and collaboration.
Adding a touch of challenge to the celebrations, Halloween-themed quizzes brought everyone together to test their spooky season knowledge. One of the most cherished aspects of Halloween at St. Michael's House is the inclusive and joyful environment it fosters. The celebrations are designed with everyone in mind, allowing each person to participate in their own way, whether that means crafting, baking, or simply enjoying the decorations and treats.
This year’s Halloween festivities were a resounding success, leaving everyone with smiles, full hearts, and perhaps a little candy to take home. St. Michael's House is proud to provide an inclusive space for such celebrations, bringing joy to all who call it home. Here's to many more years of fun and friendship, starting with a very happy Halloween!
