On Monday 10 March 2025, our CEO, Liz Reynolds and Director of Access, Integration & Adult Clinical Services, Tara Molloy, were delighted to meet with Deputy Ann Graves (Sinn Féin Councillor for Dublin Fingal East) and Dr. John Smyth (Sinn Féin Councillor for Swords Lea) at SMH Headquarters in Ballymun to discuss;

  • The limitations of CAS funding and services waitlist in St Michael’s House
  • A requirement for equal focus on adult services as on children’s services with additional resources to be allocated to adult services with particular reference to clinical, residential and day services
  • The requirement for additional children’s and adult respite services
  • The shortfall in the allocation to St Michael’s House for 2025, and
  • The requirement for a pathway to address historical deficits for all Section 38 agencies
